Simon Wilson has over 25 years experience in industrial manufacturing, international marketing and B2B sales within both corporate and private companies across oil & gas, marine, mining, industrial markets and research & development. As Sales & Marketing Manager and then CEO, Simon was instrumental in building a Melbourne-based marine equipment & systems engineering company to become the international leader in its market.

Simon brings nearly three decades of knowledge to the Optimal team and runs the Optimal Executive program. Simon qualified as a Naval Architect, working on oil & gas projects in the UK before studying for an MBA and moving to Malaysia in an Industrial Marketing role and then to Melbourne, Australia.  Work has always had a strong international outlook, managing businesses in Malaysia and Australia and responsible for decentralized sales and extended distributor networks throughout Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Interests include strategy implementation, value addition through marketing and a pragmatic, practical approach to solving business issues. Simon has built a number of high performing teams and enjoys working towards meeting goals in a dynamic environment.
